Stephen Bryce founded Catalytica in 2021 following a thirty-year career that spanned R&D, strategy, sales, marketing, operational excellence, and business leadership roles in many different sectors around the world. He has lived and worked in the UK, Greece, Canada and Germany, and has spent four years in the fast-paced world of Formula 1. Collectively, these experiences have given him a unique perspective on how to successfully grow value across a business in many different settings and cultural contexts.

With a PhD in Engineering, and equally at home in R&D as in marketing, Stephen is passionate about translating business and technology insights to commercial success for companies whose products and services are changing people’s lives for the better. His vision for Catalytica is that it should do so through highly experienced and personalized guidance, from advice through to implementation and beyond.

John Sarlis founded Cansolv Technologies Inc. in 1997, where he developed and commercialized the industry-leading SO2 & CO2 capture technologies now deployed in more than 20 large-scale facilities worldwide in the Oil & Gas, Industrial and Power sectors. A passionate motivator, curious, and creative, he brings to Catalytica 32 years of technology and leadership experience gained in both start-up and established companies.

John’s specialist interest is working with clients in all aspects of technology development, commercialization & deployment. With a Master’s degree in engineering, John is based in Montreal, Canada and has worked alongside clients and colleagues in Canada, the US, Europe, China, India, Brazil and Africa, delivering seamless project outcomes and enhancing capabilities through coaching.

Randy Reddemann brings a customer value process mindset to Catalytica and over 30 years’ experience within the Energy sector including 20 years’ implementing continuous improvement deployments. Global assignments ranged from Oil & Gas Exploration and Production, R & D, Finance, Human Resources, Construction, Engineering, and Manufacturing.

Randy has a keen eye working the value creation process and identifying business process improvement opportunities throughout. He naturally leads with inquiry and discovery, seeking insights from data, metrics, knowledge workers and site visits. With an MBA in international business, he has worked as global resource manager overseeing expert resources in 17 countries. He is based near Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA) and certified in agile, project management and lean six sigma.

Jerry Hammett is a senior marine industry professional with more than 35 years experience at sea and onshore.  From his first role as a trainee engineering officer on the SS Partula to his time at the helm of a leading marine R&D facility in Hamburg, Jerry has established a great reputation based on his ability to combine technology development expertise with a detailed understanding of the deployability of new technology in an operational marine environment. 

With his deep scientific and application knowledge, Jerry is uniquely skilled to advise on marine powertrain industry trends, the associated future product requirements, and the pathways to develop those products with a very clear perspective on their most effective deployment.
